Our Approach

Each consulting engagement is different depending on the needs of the client. In some cases, our projects are company-wide initiatives designed to improve overall functioning and performance. In other cases, the engagements are more specific and finite; focusing on things such as strategic planning, workflow and process design, launch planning, management training, capacity building, executive coaching, or improving the customer experience.

In all cases, our approach includes the clear identification of issues, a thorough analysis of root causes, the development of practical and implementable solutions, and the commitment to deliver sustainable outcomes. The following sampling is representative of our projects, and their results:

Program Development

For Calendar Club, a long-time client, Implementations helped to rebuild a retail operations program supporting over 100 independent contractors operating nearly 700 seasonal stores nationwide. We addressed issues of high turnover, low morale and stagnant sales through a comprehensive redesign of the program including recruitment, training, support and the policies governing the operator relationship.

A successful structural engineering firm, Siegel Associates, was generating more demand for their services than they could handle. Operations Development

The partners of Payne Bouchier, a construction company, engaged Ross to help them strengthen their management skills to better address the challenges presented by rapid growth. Coaching and Presenting

At the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, Ross has been involved in the PLUS Program since it was founded in 2003. He has developed project guidelines, is a guest presenter on project management skills, and coaches student teams on project scope and strategy as they participate in “real world” consulting assignments with companies worldwide.

Process Design

The most recent project for long-time client Philips Healthcare was to redesign their Clinical Showcase Program, which contracts with hospitals around the country to serve as host sites for demonstrations of major medical equipment—a critical step in closing multi-million dollar sales. Ross led the initiative to create new program protocols, procedures, tools, and training for both the medical sites and the participating Philips personnel.

Board Development

For the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Implementations helped the Superintendent and Board of Directors redefine their roles and responsibilities to ensure greater effectiveness and better outcomes for the organization.
